Entering the World of Gaming
CALLEN Internship | Strategy, Creative & Account Support
One thing you should know about me:
I’m not a gamer.
That’s exactly why mo.co became one of my biggest growth projects during my internship at CALLEN.
From pre-launch through post-launch, I helped turn finished work into a cohesive rollout for CALLEN and Supercell. It was fast-paced, a little chaotic, and exactly the kind of challenge I love jumping into.
Join mo.co
The campaign introduces mo.co, a chaotic monster hunting startup founded by Luna, Jax, and Manny. Through POV style films, Discord, and glitchy recruiting content, the founders invite players to join the company as “recruits.” The idea is that players are not just joining a game, they are joining the startup.
PRE-LAUNCH
Ahead of launch, I helped get everything ready by building decks for internal and client reviews and setting up a system to keep all the deliverables organized so nothing got lost in the chaos. I also played translator between client and creative, turning feedback into clear next steps and keeping the team moving.
The campaign extended into a Discord server where they recruited new “employees” to the company.
LAUNCH
I helped bring the work into the wild by cutting the hero films into GIFs for Discord and adapting the videos into shorter formats made for real time interaction. I also helped write and refine Discord copy, making sure the voice stayed playful, chaotic, and unmistakably mo.co.
The Spots
POST-LAUNCH
After launch, I tracked how the work actually landed—monitoring social sentiment, standout moments, and audience reactions to understand what resonated and why. It helped close the loop between launch tactics and real-world impact, turning chaos into learnings for what comes next.
Biggest Takeaway
Working on mo.co pushed me outside my comfort zone and forced me to learn fast about culture, fandom, and how chaotic creative actually gets shipped. It taught me how to step into unfamiliar worlds, earn trust quickly, and help move bold work across the finish line without losing what makes it special.
